Rock Solid Doors Contract Terms and Conditions of Sale to the Public for Home Improvement Installations

Following any survey which reveals significant unforeseen additional work being required at an extra cost to you or your property being unsafe or unsuitable for the work to be carried out, both, you or we, have the right to cancel the contract.

We shall not be liable for any delay in the completion of the work which arises from causes beyond our control. (For example, fire, flooding, civil disturbances, strike action by others, criminal damage and acts of war.)

You will pay us the balance of the purchase price when you are satisfied that the products have been properly installed in accordance with the terms of the contract.

We shall retain ownership of any goods which have been fixed to your property, until the purchase price has been paid.
In the case of non-payment “recovery costs will be applied if the statement remains unpaid”
in the case of a legal dispute after fitting, none of our products can be removed from the property until the Legal process has been decided by the appropriate court.

We will remove and dispose of all replaced existing doors, windows and/or frames unless you ask us to leave them on your premises. All we leave you is a bag of rubbish, which go in your landfill bin (general dust, debris, empty silicone tubes & tissues)

We will be liable for any damage caused to your property which was not necessary for the completion of the contract.

We cannot he held responsible for any damage to external/internal electrical cables or wiring Including burglar alarm /telephone / broadband or doorbells.

Regarding the quality and description of the goods and/or the services:
We guarantee to repair where we deem it to be practicable and appropriate, and if not, to replace, free of charge for labour and materials, if under guarantee any product including any insulating glass unit which develops a fault, (including condensation between the glasses of the units)

We cannot be held responsible if the manufacturer changes any part including glass design if they are of a similar standard as advertised. In the case of a failed/replaced double glazed unit including door the manufacturer cannot guarantee an exact match for the replaced unit.

In the case of Bespoke Glass, The Manufacturer cannot be held responsible for replacing the exact design and may offer a Standard design instead. We cannot be held responsible for any faults caused by the relevant  manufacturer, in the case of a manufacturers error we will order the replacement and fit labour free.

Manufacturers fault cannot be door or frame colour as the Customer has been shown the relevant colour swatches and have made up their own mind regarding their chosen colour.

Any imperfections in glass including scratches must be reported to us within 48 hours from fitting, we would need a photo from 2 meters away to send off to the company for replacement.

Please inspect carefully upon completion.

Under the terms of this guarantee within 2 days of discovery of the fault, preferably by sending us a recorded delivery letter or email us.

Even though your statutory rights remain unaffected, this guarantee does not extend to: Minor imperfections within the glass and outside the scope of the visual quality standards of the “Glass and Glazing Federation”

Damage due to the misuse, neglect or lack of maintenance by you, others or from causes beyond our control, (for example fire, flooding, civil disturbance, criminal damage or acts of war.)

Nothing in these conditions will reduce your statutory rights relating to faulty or mis-described goods and services. For further information about your statutory rights contact your Local Authority Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advise Bureau.
